Long overdue update

It's been a long time since I last dropped an update. Oops!

​

Don't Break My Heart was released in February and in the six months since I've been busy writing and with other hobbies.

​​

I've spent some time between then and now reediting my first few releases after realising I hadn't spent nearly enough time editing them. I mainly write for fun and probably won't ever be able to afford an editor, so I'm doing everything myself. Which means it's a learning curve and I'm still learning now!

Moving on to more exciting news...

 

I finished the first draft of my next release! Yay! More on that in bit,,,

 

I then started on the next book in the Love Series to get a break before starting on editing my next release. I got to a little over 50K before I hit a bit of a road block. So, that has been put on hold until I feel inspired to revisit it properly again. I know where I'm going with it and everything is plotted out, I just found myself staring at the screen more often than writing.

Part of the reason I hit a roadblock was because I had a new idea pop into my head and it wouldn't leave until I started plotting it out and getting some words on paper (or word). I'm really excited about this one and cannot wait to get fully into it, but for now I'm focusing on editing.

​

That brings me back to my next release. I read through it to refresh myself before editing and quickly realised I didn't like the direction it went in. So I've spent the last month rewriting the last half. I've got 2 or 3 chapters left before I get back to editing but I'm much happier with the reworked version.

​

I'm hoping I'll be looking for Beta readers by the end of August or early September. That kind of depend on how much my other WIPs call to me between now and then.

​

I had hoped to get another release in before the end of the year, but it's looking like it will be next year now.

​

In the past I think I've rushed releases to get them out there (which is why I'm having to go back over them now). I don't want to look back at this next release and wish I'd spent more time making it ready for publishing.

​

This update has turned out to be much longer than I expected!

​

Hopefully it won't be another 6 months before I have another update!!
