First of all, thank you for your interest in being one of my Beta Readers!

When I am ready to send out a manuscript I will contact you to check that

you are interested and available to look over it in the timeframe I am looking at.

I will include the blurb and tropes so you can get an idea if the manuscript I am sending out

is the kind of book you would be interested in reading.

If you would be interested in Beta Reading based on the information you have,

please let me know and I will then send a word document in reviewing mode so you can

make comments on any parts you feel you need to.

What do I want a Beta Reader to look for?

• Do you notice any plot holes​ or inconsistences?

• Do you think there are any pacing issues?

• Did you lose interest at any point? If yes, why?

• Did you want more of any particular scene/character? If yes, when/who?

• Is there anything you really liked?

• Is there anything  you didn't like? Why?

• Did you feel there were parts which were repeated unnecessarily?

Do I want you to note typos/grammar or leave them?

In short, yes, please make a note of them.

While the manuscript will have gone through several rounds of edits and revisions,

sometimes typos and grammar can slip through the net.

(Especially as I am self editing!)

When giving feedback, please be honest without being unnecessarily harsh.

At the end of the day this is a passion hobby of mine and I have feelings like everyone else.
